Sanskrit is older than memory — a language built for sound before it was ever written down. In this workshop, chanting, scripture, and grammar are taught alongside the body's own seven energy centres, so every syllable is felt as much as it is spoken.
Each energy centre carries its own bija — seed syllable — and its own lotus. Learning to chant is learning to move sound correctly through all seven.
The grounding syllable — where breath begins before it becomes sound.
Governs fluidity of tone — the ease with which a chant is allowed to flow.
The seat of breath control — every pranayama exercise begins here.
The "unstruck sound" — the resonance a mantra settles into once memorised.
The chakra of speech itself — correct uccharan (pronunciation) lives here.
Where meaning is contemplated — the silent understanding behind a verse.
The thousand-petalled lotus — traditionally where all mantra dissolves into stillness.
Learn to read and write the script itself — the alphabet that gives every syllable its shape.
Precise pronunciation practice, syllable by syllable, building toward full mantra and sloka chanting.
Guided reading of classical verses, from simple prayers to selected passages of the Gita and Upanishads.
Understanding what is being chanted, and pairing each mantra with breath and the chakra it speaks to.
